| -1535764012 | 2012-06-27 | Received complaint on 06/26/2012 from resident Abdulla Taufig, 1627 Balmoral Way, Westlake, Ohio 44155. Complaint of old gas well located in basin behind his home is bubbling gas. Investigated complaint on this date, assisted by Norburt Lowder and Assistant Fire Chief James T. Hughes, Westlake Fire Department. Well is located underwater due south of aeration system in pond approximately 30' offshore. Assistant fire chief informed me that the pond is owned by resident Sunantan residing at 1613 Balmoral Way, Westlake, Ohio. Met with complainant and informed him that for further investigation he would need to drain pond to allow ODNR access to inspect the well. Recommended that he should post danger, thin ice signs in the winter. Assistant fire chief stated that the pond does not freeze during the winter. Complaint file 3851 concerning this case should be closed. |
