Dike around tanks requires modification and rework. Tanks are located on flood plane for Mohican River. Dikes cannot protect from releases.


4-16-03: Follow up. Well inspection reveals no change. Fitting are leaking oil/ brine slightly. Tanks indicate no change from previous inspection. Additional observation include the following: The west tank has overflowed recently. The oil take off connections have an excessive amount of oil on the ground. A Recent spill of oil has occurred in the dike field behind the tanks, an oily 5 gallon bucket is adjacent to spill. The pressure separator has signs of overflowing from the top of the vessel. The Chart recorder area and drip has a significant amount of oil that has been spilled/ released onto the ground and killed the vegetation. There is the presence of runoff due to the inadequate dike field.
