1086635597 2004-06-04 # 643. Inspection revealed strong Gas Odor coming from the location. Inspection revealed the 210 Bbl. Storage tank has a hole in the top of it. The Owner of the well is Cortland Energy Co., Inc. I call the phone number on the tank and left a message for the owner to call me back ASAP. I left a note in the complaints door and advised them they could call me, and I would advise them of my findings. 06/07/04 I found out Bob Atha was pumping the well for Courtland and I called him. He advise me that they were testing the well and he closed in the well. I advised him that the tank would need to be replaced and they should flair the gas to keep the odor down. I also advise him to have the owner call me and I would advise him the same thing. Mr. Masters called me and I advised him of my findings and that that he needs to replace the tank or repair it, and he needs to flair the gas or place charcoal filters on the tanks to help keep the odors down. We agreed to a two (2) week time limit to remedy the violations.
