1112293368 2005-03-08 Met Mercer County Engineer James A. Wiechert at their office and then drove to well site. 8 digital photos. See I&O report for details.
1139933464 2006-02-14 I&O well plugged with 9 sack grout to a depth of approximately 1150 feet. Bob Huwer who plugged the well said that 6 inch casing inside of 8 inch casing at the surface was held in place by cuttings from cable tool rig when drilled. The casing removed from above ground elevation was rusted. Bob indicated that the 6 inch casing only extended to approximately 300 feet depth where the well was apparently open hole to bottom of well. The well diameter decreased from that 300 foot depth since his 5 inch bailer would not fit in the well bore below the 300 foot depth. A 4 inch bailer was used to clean the well out to final depth.
1144348426 2006-04-05 Reviewed site for final restoration. The operator made very little impact on the site during plugging since plugging occurred during frozen ground conditions. The well casing was cut off 4 feet below ground elevation and an ID plate attached according to BobHuwer. The small area disturbed at the wellhead and the narrow strip of old pipeline removed have been seeded. Final restoration recommended for approval.
