1399913744 2014-05-12 I am on site today to witness the running and cementing of the 18-3/8 inch diameter casing string. HAD Drilling drilled a 22-1/4 inch diameter hole to 508 ft and set 485 ft of casing. Halliburton Energy Service cemented with 490 sacks of class A cement at 15.6 lbs and a yield of 1.2 had 15 bbls of cement returns. Halliburton was 3 hours late to the cement job.
1423852898 2015-02-13 I received a call from Marcus Attaway of Hess Ohio to inform me that they were having a well control issue and wanted to make sure I was ok with the plans. He said that they had a Coil Tubing unit on site and had placed a hanger on the well with a bottom control valve that had malfunctioned. He also said that they needed to replace the bottom control valve and would require help from Wild Well Control. I ask if they had submitted a remediation plan to Deputy Chief Claus or Worstall. He said he thought that they had been notified of the event. I contacted Deputy Chief Clause and Worstall to make sure they had been advised and discovered that they had not been notified of any problem. I also talked with Supervisor Bear to advise him of the proposed remediation plan. I found that they plan to excavate below the Tin horn and open it up to the casing strings. Wild Well will cut away the casing strings to get at the 13-3/8 inch diameter casing. They will use it to freeze the two remaining strings with liquid Nitrogen. Three strings will be filled with fluid then frozen to become a plug or stop in the 5-1/2 inch casing The frozen plug will be about 8 to 10 ft. long. The plan was forwarded to Bob Worstall for review.
2126615610 2014-11-05 During the drilling operation at 18,425 ft. the well was fractured by the Cadiz B 5- H well # 1197 which was conducting a frack of that well. The two wells are now in communication. The well has introduced water from the Cadiz B well to the Oil Base Mud system of the Cadiz D well. I contacted Deputy Chief Claus and Steve Opritza to inform them of the potential problems. A plan for remedial drilling for the Cadiz D well is to be developed and forwarded to Deputy Chief Claus and Opritza.
373744465 2014-05-12 HAD Drilling Rig # 618 is on site and will drill the surface hole and cement casing. They could be ready later today but most likely Tuesday.
-702338866 2015-02-25 I am on site today to check on the repair status of the well. I found that the lower control valve has been replaced and that all repairs to the well have been completed. They still have to test the bottom shoe to see if it is wet or if they have a casing integrity problem. Work should begin on determining which issue needs corrected. They are to send us photos of the repairs along with updated info on monitoring problems with the gauge not reading correct levels.
