1224522682 2008-10-20 On site to chk report of a fatal accident. On 10-19-08 two men were attempting to weld a bracket to the side of a 210bbl storage tank. The tank was half full of oil and when one of the men struck an arc with the welder the vapors in the tank ignited. Causing the tank to explode. the explosion ripped the top almost off of the tank. The tank immediately to the west (empty of fluid) exploded also ripping the top off of it and sending it (the top) approx 300 foot to the north into the woods. A neighbor came to the site immediately after the first explosion and witnessed the second explosion as he made a failed attempt to remove one of the victims from the resulting fire.
