Inspection Data

INSPECTION ID DATE DESCRIPTION COMMENT VIOLATION ID VIOLATION CODE VIOLATION COMMENT
1489358076 2014-01-13 My inspection found the well in production. The well was equipped with a plunger lift unit. I noticed an approximately 2' radius oil stained grass and soil around the well. The tank battery consisted of a 100 barrel production tank, a 50 barrel brine tank, and a separator. The dike was weathered and not capable of meeting containment requirements. There was a lock and plug on the load line. The identification sign was faded and unreadable. All of the production equipment spacing was incompliance. I noticed an approximately 10 radius hole with a pool of oil next to the heating tube for the production tank. On the heat tube was an expandable plug. The lease road was in good condition with a locked gate at the entrance. I called Larry, field supervisor for Enervest. I instructed Larry to clean-up the oil at the tank battery, remove the oil stained soil at the well, replace the identification sign, and repair the dike. The well was placed into production prior to House Bill 278.
