1515515788 | 2018-01-09 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On site pre spud inspection status check found H&P Drilling rig 531 on location and rigging up in preparation of spudding the 24 diameter surface-mine string borehole. The company has asked to drill and set the 18.625 casing to a depth of 80 past the mine. I advised them a variance would have to be received from the Divisions permitting department for such a request. I also reviewed the Companies simultaneous operations guidelines as submitted in their permit application packet as found on page 37 in the application. After review of the submitted application guidelines and visually confirming by inspection, it was found the company has adhered to the guidelines for a new well that is drilled greater than 45 from a well that is capable of production. The company will spud the 24 diameter surface borehole this evening at approximately 5 pm. |
1515663204 | 2018-01-11 | Casing String Witnessed | No Violations | On site inspection at 3:30 am to witness the surface mine string cement job with H&P Drilling rig 531 on location along with Schlumberger cement service. The rig has rotary mist drilled on air a 26 diameter surface borehole to a measured depth of 889 with amine void encountered between the depths of 774 and 789. Upon reaching total depth the rig pumped a total of (4) one gallon capacity soap sweeps to clean the hole up before pulling the drill string and beginning to run the 832 of 18.625 94.5 pound per foot J-55 grade buttress thread casing with a casing guide float shoe and float collar ran along with 13 casing centralizers. Additionally the casing string had an inflatable packer set at 669 with a stage tool above it at 666. Schlumberger cemented the casing implementing a 2 stage process by first pumping 280 barrels of fresh water followed byan 110 barrels absolute volume cement mix consisting of 515 sacks of class A cement weighing 15.6 pound per gallon with the cement weight verified by weight of scale. The cement was displaced with 228 barrels of fresh water with 40 barrels of 6% gel space ran in the lead portion to condition the upper well bore section once the DV tool is opened. The plug was landed at 75 pounds per square inch displacement pressure and the casing was pressure tested to 600 psi before increasing the pressure to 700 psi to inflate the packer before dropping the tool to open the DV tool and beginning the upper section cement job consisting of 305.9 barrels absolute volume of cement that was made up of 1,431 sacks class A cement. The cement was displaced with 206 barrels of fresh water. No cement returns were witnessed to surface inside the cellar however the gel spacer was visible up to 10 to surface before the landing of the cement plug. The fluid level fell back to 45once displacement was finished and remained static to that point. The company sent for 1 tubing to run down the annular space and I called for Inspector Austin Guthridge to witn |
1516210917 | 2018-01-11 | Casing String Witnessed | No Violations | The purpose of my inspection was to witness topping off the backside of the 18.625 inch diameter surface casing set at 834.5 feet in depth. The well is equipped with 120 feet of 30 inch diameter conductor, and 24 inch diameter borehole from 120 feet to 889 feet. I witnessed HP drilling rig 531 rig hands run 1 inch tubing down the annulus and tag up on top of cement at 210 feet. At that point Schlumberger pumped 75 barrels and the cement came to surface. After 1 hour the cement top fell 31 feet. Schlumberger had more cement delivered and the annulus was topped off with 15 barrels. The cement top stayed at surface. Eclipse stated that they would run a bond log. |
1517258077 | 2018-01-29 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On site inspection to check on the current well drilling process found H&P Drilling rig 531 on location and currently drilling the 12.250 intermediate well bore section at a measured depth of 7,950 with a projected total depth of 9,750. The company is currently deviating around a lost well bore that was plugged back in the same 12.250 section due to lost drilling tools in the hole. Once total depth is reached for this section the company will load the hole with oil based drilling mud and circulate 2 bottoms un circulation cycles before pulling the drill string and running the 9.625 casing. |
1524766634 | 2018-04-26 | Completion Testing | No Violations | Status check inspection found the well drilling and stimulation process now complete. The pad is being prepped for completion drill out. A tubing snubbing unit contractor identified as Deep well Services is scheduled to mobilize onto the well pad tomorrow 04/27/2018. The well head consists of a lower A section and mid B section with a master valve assembled on top of the B section and a flow cross above the master valve. I spoke with the company man and discussed the well construction rules regarding annular pressure monitoring. All operations are being conducted on polymer containment with the well pad earthen berm serving as the perimeter boundary primary containment. |
1535467180 | 2018-08-28 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | Preliminary Restoration found the area affected by the well pad construction meets ORC 1509.072 with vegetation established and erosion control in place. The well pad and lease road are of stone surface construction and in good repair. 4 total well are now present on the well pad. The said well is equipped with a lower A and upper B section well head assembly with 2 diameter riser pipes attached to each well head section, the riser pipes are equipped with valves and gauges to monitor annular pressure. The A section gauge which monitors the pressure between the 13.375 and 9.625 diameter casing string reads zero pounds pressure. The B section gauge which reads the pressure between the 5.5 and 9.625 diameter casing string reads 900 pounds pressure. The 5.5 internal casing pressure is 1,857 pounds and the flow line pressure downstream of the well head choke is 1,750 pounds. The completion master valve is still on the well and the well is selling off the 5.5 production casing. On the left rear side of the well pad is the production fluid facility consisting of (3) steel construction 400 barrel capacity tanks along with a single 100 barrel tank, all situated inside a polymer lined steel containment dike area. There is a 3rd party midstream pipeline point and compressor on a separate pad at the rear of the location. |
