Inspections Performed

Inspection ID Inspection Date Inspection Type Inspection Result Inspection Comments
1328216340 2017-08-28 Production Wells No Violations Ted Bratton left me a voice message over the weekend claiming that he knew the spot that I was concerned with, and he would get it cleaned up right away. On the day of my inspection I found that the brine saturated soil was still in place in the lease road. I called Ted back and he claimed that they had a nipple go bad on the brine tank in the spring, allowing the water to flow down the elevated dike position and collect in the depression in the road. He said that they thought they had all the brine removed. I explained to Ted that the soil is still saturated with the NaCl and it must be removed. He agreed to get it taken care of.
1371158135 2017-08-25 Production Wells Violations Noted On the day of my inspection I found that the well was equipped with an electric powered pumping unit. The motor, drive belts and electric were intact. The flow lines were connected and the valves were open. The stuffing box was oily, but there was no fresh oil on the ground. The production equipment consisted of one 210 barrel steel tank, one 200 gallon poly tank and one vertical separator. The equipment was in an elevated position, but there was no containment dike. I noticed a muddy puddle in the lease road below the poly tank. The puddle was approximately 5 feet by 5 feet and it was heavily tracked by deer. I found path of darker stained soil leading from the puddle to the poly tank. I tested the standing water with a Quantab and found the chloride level to be at 4121 ppm(mg/L) or 0.679% NaCl. I called Ted Bratton to get the brine soaked soil cleaned up.
1504880364 2017-09-08 Production Wells No Violations On the day of my inspection I found that the brine impacted soil had been dug up and the area had been covered in new gravel. There was also new soil in place to build up the front wall of the dike where the water tank is located. I called and left a message with Ted Bratton to let him know that I was closing the compliance notice on this well.
