2518358 | Primary Facility | 2016-09-12 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | Inspection of SWEPI’s Torpy & Van Order Inc 574 pad in Covington Twp, Tioga County conducted September 12, 2016 at approximately 12:00 pm. There were 2 wells on the pad at the time of inspection; the 1V (Plugged 9/7/11) and the 3H (Regulatory Inactive Status). The 1V is plugged and capped off with blanked spool with a needle valve (shut-in) on the cap. The 3H is shut in with a lower master valve and cap atop production casing spool/tubing hanger. The cellar was filled with gravel and there were (4) total vent pipes plumbed to surface coming up through the gravel. There were (2) 2” vent pipes assumed to be backside of the production casing (9 5/8” x 5 ½”) annulus. One of these vent pipes was shut-in, while the other was 90’d downward into a bucket. A field reading with an Altair 5x gas meter placed next to the vent outlet showed 100% LEL 66% Methane. The other (2) remaining smaller vent pipes I assume to be the intermediate csg’s annulus (1 ½” vent) and the surface casing’s annulus (1” vent). No gas was prese |
2562587 | Primary Facility | 2017-02-15 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | Routine inspection of SWEPI’s Torpy Van Order 574 1V (117-21051) plugged gas well conducted February 15, 2017 at 12:30 pm. At the time of inspection; the well cellar was buried with gravel, ice and water on top; no bubbling. Casinghead and night cap were on the well, above grade. There was a needle valve on the night cap, shut in. I put on a 0-160 PSI gauge and opened the valve; no pressure. I opened the bleeder on my pressure gauge and heard some minimal flow. I checked flow with a ½” pipe nipple and balloon. The balloon inflated, but wasn’t enough flow/pressure to blow up the balloon or blow it off the pipe nipple, even after waiting 5 minutes. Shut the needle valve back in and left location. |
