1484683920 | 2017-01-11 | Production Wells | No Violations | The purpose of my inspection was to conduct a status check on well # 2-1522. A review of RBDMS indicates the Owner is current with reporting production. Lease access to the well and tank battery is through a agricultural road. The well head location is within an agricultural field and is stable. The well head has a perimeter of heavy gauge wire fence. A identification sign with correct and legible information was posted next to the well head. The 8.625 well head is at grade. The side ports are open to atmosphere. The 4.5 production casing is equipped with a plunger lift assembly. The Demco gate valve was closed. A domestic supply connection is present. Gas was audibly detected leaking from the domestic connection. Production equipment was contained within an earthen dike that was stable. An identification sign with correct and legible identification was posted next to the dike. Equipment within the dike consisted of one (1) vertical separator with standalone meter house and one (1) 100 bbl production tank. The separator remained in good repair with no audible or visual leaks. The meter run contained a chart that was not current. The production tank remained in good repair with no detectable leaks. The load line valve was closed and plugged. The drain line valve was closed but missing a bull plug. While on location I called and spoke with George Strawn to address the leaking domestic supply and missing bull plug. Mr. Strawn stated his son operated this well and that the well was currently not producing due to the local market. He also stated that he would contact his son to fix the gas leak at the well head and replace the bull plug the following day. |
