The stain went down the drive approximately 50 in both wheel tracks. The water was completely absorbed in the drive. It did not appear to get off the drive. The landowner came down to see what I was doing and said that this had happened before. The salt drain is tied in to a plastic line that goes in to a horizontal tank but you could see there was erosion of the earth between the tanks. There were also several open containers with a little oil in them that will be on the ground after the containers fill up with rain water. I contacted the operators wife and left a message and tried to contact the operator on his cell but got no answer and could not leave a message. I called Don Ridgeway his pumper and told him about the situation and he will remove the open containers and be more careful when draining water to keep it out of the environment. |
