1533913205 2018-08-10 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations On site inspection to check on the 18.625 mine string cement job. On this day Pioneer Drilling rig 71 is on location and has drilled a 24 diameter surface borehole to a measured depth of 433. The depth was measured off a 28.6 drilling rig Kelly Bushing heigth above ground level. A open mine void was encountered between he depths of 378 and 384. Upon reaching total depth the drilling rig pulled the drill string and inserted 433 of 87.5 pound per foot J-55 grade buttress thread casing with a guide shoe and float collar ran along with a inflatable packer set in the string between the depths of 282 and 308. Baskets were ran directly below and above the packer with on centralizer above the basket. C&J Cement service was on location to cement the casing in a multi step process with the bottom stage being cemented using a 33 barrel cement mix consisting of 155 sacks of class A cement. The company will displace the plug with 120 barrels of fresh water the pressure test the casing before inflating the packer. The well bore is not supporting a column of fluid due to the mine void which as no water in it sot the casing string will be topped off from surface accordingly starting in 15 barrel cement mis increments allowing the cement to set between stages unit the annular is filled from on top of the packer to surface.
