The area surrounding the production equipment has been restored. Restored site is well vegetated. No signs of E&S issues. The chart recorder label is barely legible. The Department recommends updating the label. No date was observed on the chart recorder. An additional well tag was observed on the well head. Flakey paint and corrosion were observed on the well head, separator, and axillary piping. The Department recommends monitoring the production equipment and replacing and/or repainting the equipment if necessary.
Department staff used an Altair 5x gas meter during the inspection. Combustible gases were detected at 30% LEL on piping connected to the well head. The Department recommends addressing the combustible gases. This case will be referred to a Department Oil & Gas Inspector for further investigation. |
