The operator plans to begin plugging and reclamation of the well site. The operator purchased the well from Jesmar in 2011 and produced the well for approximately 6 months. The well has been inactive since 2012. The Department records continue to have the operator as Jesmar. The Department spoke with Robert Robinson the owner of Robin Energy, about the release. Mr. Robinson stated that during removal of production equipment from the site a mercaptan tank was encountered buried on the northeast corner of the well pad. During removal and placement of the tank on the trailer on site the tank released approximately 2 gallons of mercaptan to the trailer and ground.
