2699704 | Primary Facility | 2018-03-01 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | Site and access road had been constructed in accordance with the ESCGP. All site and access road erosion controls had been implemented and maintained properly. All disturbed slopes and soil stockpiles had been stabilized with vegetation. There was no observed accelerated erosion or sedimentation in relation to the site or access road. Drilling had commenced but was not ongoing at the time of the inspection. Secondary containment sized appropriately for the equipment that had been onsite for the drilling of the conductor was located onsite. There was an Act 9 sign located onsite in accordance with 25 Pa Code Chapter 78a.55(i). |

2781830 | Primary Facility | 2018-10-01 | Follow-up Inspection | In Compliance with Policy | Follow up inspection related to an Operator reported release of drilling mud to the ground on Friday September 28 2018 at 9:50pm. The Operator reported that approximately 49 gallons of oil based drilling mud was lost to secondary containment and a portion, approximately 35 gallons was lost to the ground. The spill was reported to the PADEP spill not line and an follow-up email was received y the Department on 9/29/2018. At the time of this inspection the Operator was actively drilling. The spill occurred when a 5" vibrating hose ruptured on the off drillers side of the drill rig resulting in a release of oil based drilling mud. The Department observed a small amount of residual drilling mud in the containment near the area. The area off of containment appeared to be remediated. The Department recommends the Operator remove the residual drilling mud from the secondary containment. The Department also observed three 55 gallon drums labeled as spilled material.
