Producers service corporation is on site to do an acid treatment. An earthen pit lined with plastic has been constructed next to the well along side of the service rig. The earthen pit is being used to circulate fluid from the well. There is a steel half round tank on a trailer on the opposite side of the service rig that is being used for fresh water storage. I told Tom Atha that the Earthen pit is a permit violation. The Permit to Convert dated 8-8-2018 states: FLOODPLAIN AREA: NO EARTHEN PITS ALLOWED. The permit also states: BLOW OUT PREVENTOR REQUIRED The service rig was attempting to clean out the open hole portion of the well with out well control device installed on the wellhead. The earthen pit is to be cleaned out and plastic liner removed. Backfill the pit. All fluids to be taken to an approved class 2 injection facility. |
