I told Tom Atha that the Earthen pit is a permit violation. The Permit to Convert dated 8-8-2018 states: FLOODPLAIN AREA: NO EARTHEN PITS ALLOWED. The permit also states: BLOW OUT PREVENTOR REQUIRED The service rig was attempting to clean out the open hole portion of the well with out well control device installed on the wellhead. The earthen pit is to be cleaned out and plastic liner removed. Backfill the pit. All fluids to be taken to an approved class 2 injection facility. |
