| Met with landowner Mr. Root to obtain Right of Entry for well that discharged oil into ditch. Picked up map of field tile locations from Soil Conservation office. Mr Root thought tile on west side of well was nearest to well. Mr. Root described the location of beginning of tile near US 20. GPS of that location and corresponding reading due north at well indicated tile was likely on the west edge of the surface oil spill area. This also is consistent with description of tile near edge of grass strip where well is located. Oil has been removed from surface around well to depth of 6-9 inches and stored in containers. No excavation was done to verify oil in tile.
