The flow could either be captured via a culvert, diverted around the disturbed area and into a culvert or conveyed via a rocked and stabilized channel to the culvert inlet. In addition the outlet required additional rock to convey the flow past the disturbed area and the perimeter controls. Hay bales and silt fencing are not recommended erosion controls that are to be utilized in areas of concentrated direct flow as outlined in the Department's E&S manual. |
