-1915459745 2007-08-14 Spoke with Bruce Kellie about violations and contaminated water system. Bruce said he has emptied tanks and will be removing them from dike to start dirt removal.
1189778435 2007-09-10 Follow-up on NOV, and met with Bruce Kellie ( owner ) and Tom Tomastik from Columbus, reviewed well site, tank battery and spring, Tom feels spring should clear up if spring is flushed and clean out more in dike area. Bruce said he will continue to haul fresh water in for Connie Gillogy the landowner. Explained to Mrs. Gillogy that holding tank should be cleaned out and spring should be pumped to allow water to flush through the rock formation.
1726879047 2007-12-03 Follow-up on NOV, In-Compliance. Done a field test on water with Quantab, the reading was around 250 to 260 ppm. Explained to Mrs. Gillogly that it meets EPA safe drinking standards and the company had complied with NOV. Took water sample from kitchen sink, allowed water to run approx. 45 seconds. Mrs. Gillogy said she was not happy with the company's offer and would be seeking further legal actions and I may be called in as a witness.
767002492 2007-12-03 Follow-up inspection of water complaint, tested water from inside Mrs. Gillogy's holding tank for water, field test reading was a little over 600ppm, Mrs. Gillogy said they have not been pumping the water, explained that the water would be ok for household use but not drinking. Felt that with the rainy season it would clear up. Told Mrs. Gillogy that I would notify Mr. Kellie and explain that he would not have to have water hauled out but would still need to bring out drinking water until I felt the water would meet EPA standards of 250 ppm. Mr Kellie will remove plastic holding tank from yard and Mr. Gillogy will hook up to his water supply.
