-1742858984 2013-01-31 This inspection was part of a complaint concerning a well that was recently exposed at the surface on Gordon McCarthy's property. At the surface, the hole was around 2' X 2.5' and had a fluid level around 15' in depth. There was no casing in the visible section of the hole. The landowner had told Rocky King that the well was a lost hole. I talked with the landowner, and he said Mr. Heinrich, of Heinrich Enterprises, has some kind of record stating the hole was an abandoned Berea well. He also stated Heinrich Enterprises stated they do not have anything to do with the well. The state has no records regarding a lost hole or the plugging of the well. Well was permitted for the Berea and is listed in RBDMS as ND (Not Drilled). Pictures and video were taken of location and well. The number listed for Petroel is no longer in service. I have discussed the well with Idle and Orphan Program Manager Gene Chini.
