1397140368 2014-04-10 On the day of my inspection I found that the well was equipped with a pumping unit that was overgrown and entangled with multiflora rose. The polished rod showed no evidence of recent use and the valves at the well head were all closed. There was no gas pressure indicated on the gauge. The tank battery consisted of three 100 barrel tanks and one separator. The tanks were rusted and overgrown with small trees. There was no dike around the tanks and the identification sign was blank. There was no identification at the well head. This well shares a tank battery with permit 4268. The company reported 28 barrels of oil production for 2013, which happens to be identical to the production reported for permit 4268. The current state of this well indicates that it has not been pumped for at least one or two years. This well must be plugged within 180 days from the date of compliance notice issue. NONE
1403805435 2014-06-26 Follow up to CA #1397140368: On the day of my inspection I found that the well was still sitting idle. The pumping unit was still overgrown with weeds and vines. The valves were still closed and the polished rod was still dry. There was still no identification posted at the wellhead or tank battery. Nothing has been done to bring this well into compliance.
