1409928835 | 2014-06-24 | I inspected the Bako # 1 on 6/24/2014 as a follow up to Chief Order # 2014 - 163 due to failure to obtain liability insurance. The last reported production for this well was in 1995, but sold a load ( approx. 130 Bbls. ) to Devco Oil Inc. on 3 / 14 / 2014. The well is operated by the pumping method. It is equipped with a pump jack, rods and 2.375 tubing. The well is pumped by an electrical motor. The main breaker in the electrcal box was in the off position at the time of my inspection. There are multiple domestic gas tie - ins connected to the 4.5 casing. I was told that 6 houses were supplied gas from the wellhead. The wellhead and fittings were leak free. I did not see any ground contamination around the pumping unit. The tank battery was comprised of 210 Bbl oil storage tank, a 100 bbl brine storage tank, a 25 bbl brine storage tank and a 2408 horizontal separator with a orifice gas meter. The fencing surrounding the tank battery was broken down to the ground in several places and the gate is nonfunctional. The required I.D. signage was incorrect and illegible. The 210 bbl oil stock tank was covered with oil from running the tank over. There is oil laying on the ground from the 210 bbl tank bottom leaking. The orifice gas meter has an old chart on it and I could not read the date it was last changed. Operator needs to file updated annual production, remove and remediate contaminated soil, remove or replace any leaking storage tanks, establish gas sales or flare any vented gas, install the required I.D. signage by 12/31/2014 or plug the well. | ||||
