1394978230 | 2014-03-16 | I was on site to witness the cementing of the 13 3/8 inch surface casing. My inspection revealed that Sidewinder Drilling Rig # 63 has drilled a 17 1/2 inch hole to a total depth of 901 feet and ran 888 feet of 13 3/8 inch surface casing (54.5 pounds per foot / inside diameter is 12.615 inches). They installed 7 bowspring centralizers on the casing string on joints 1,2,6,10,14,18, and 20. Universal cemented the casing with 791 sacks of Type 1 3% CaCl, 0.2% foam check, and 1/4 pound per sack celloflake. The cement had a density of 15.6 pounds per gallon, a yield of 1.2 cubic feet per sack, and they used 5.2 gallons of mix water per sack. Universal pumped 169 barrels of cement slurry, 129 barrels of displacement, and the was 50 barrels of cement returns to surface. They bumped the plug with 547 PSI and then conducted the casing test with 1047 PSI. The casing test was approved, pressure released, floats held, and there was approximately 1 barrel of water flowed back. My inspection revealed no violations at this time. |
