1348765748 2012-09-24 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations I was on site to inspect the cementing of the 7 in. surface casing. Harley Drilling and Producing Co. had a truck mounted air/fluid rotary rig on site. A 10 in. hole was drilled to a depth of 330 ft. and 320 ft. of 7 in. surface casing was set in the hole. Petroset arrived on site and set up and began to pump fresh water in order to establish circulation and clean the hole of mud and debris. 75 bbl. of fresh water was pumped downhole and no circulation was observed. A water truck brought in another 75 bbl. of fresh water and it was pumped downhole and still no circulation was observed at the surface. At this point it was decided to have Petroset pump down three 50 lb. bags of cottonseed hulls and 500 lbs. of gel. Following that, Petroset began pumping the cement downhole. Within minutes I observed traces of cottonseed hulls and gel returning at the surface. I then observed the cement returning to the surface. Petroset pumped a total of 150 sks. of Class A cement. After approx. forty minutes, I observed a 20 ft. fallback of cement from the surface. Harley Drilling and Producing will use grout to bring the cement level back to the surface.
1737242781 2012-10-08 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations Contacted by drilling operator to report that this well is a dry hole. Will schedule to plug well with 9 sac grout.
