| 1243639814 | 2018-02-26 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | Walking to this well from the Stillwell #1 revealed fresh oil on top of the ground and bubbling up from subsurface. I called Mark Abduella at 10:30 a.m. who is the owner/operator of the wells and asked if there was a flowline running under the lease road going back to the second well. He confirmed there was and I explained to him that it must have ruptured and was leaking oil down the lease road and into the field. He said he would get someone out there and that he would be out there after his meeting at 3 p.m. today with equipment. Where the line is bubbling is about an area of 10 in circumference and the spreads down the lease road about 20 and into the field in a couple spots. The well uses a pumping unit, tubing and a motor converted to natural gas on a timer for production. The well just pumped at 6:30 last night and will pump again tonight. The oil and any soil contaminated with oil will need, removed and disposed or remediated, in a proper manner. |
