0395668451 | 2010-06-22 | Production Wells | No Violations | Follow-up inspection revealed that the operator has started on the brine spill clean-up. The operator has started pushing the brine contaminated topsoil into a pile below the tank battery. The operator has also started removing the brine saturated soil from inside the tank battery SPCC dike. He has placed a pile of dirt downslope from the tank battery to prevent any other brine from escaping past that point if it rains and any brine might possibly be flushed out of the ground. Mike Noble advised me that they should be completely finished with the remedial work within the couple of weeks. |
1006055948 | 2010-06-14 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | I was contacted by Mike Noble with Waddy & Son that they had a brine spill at the King tank battery (common tank battery for 4 King wells). He advised that it traveled thru the dike and downslope and then into the road ditch. I arrived on site and found that the plastic line running into the top of the brine tank had come off the back of the oil storage tank. The line was hanging down in the plastic brine storage tank and when it came off the oil storage tank and it allowed the brine to be siphoned out of the plastic brine storage tank and into the dike area. There was no oil spilled siphoned out of the brine storage tank. The brine traveled thru the SPCC dike and downslope approximately 90 to 100 and then into the road ditch. The vegetation is dead outside the dike and on the downslope below the tank battery. There is a very minimal amount of dead vegetation in the road ditch therefore it appears that a very small amount of brine ever actually made it to the road ditch. I spoke with Mike Noble and he advised that they are going to start clean-up and dike repair later this week. I advised that I would check back on the clean-up progress later next week. I advised him that they needed to have all the remedial work completed by July 16th, 2010. |
1389659996 | 2014-01-13 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | I was on site to conduct a follow-up inspection on a verbal violation issued on 06/14/2010 with a compliance date of 07/16/2010. The follow-up inspection revealed that the operator has removed the contaminated soils from the site. The violation has been corrected and there are no violations at this time. -------------------------------- RESOLVED ---------------------- |
1395323460 | 2017-12-28 | Production Wells | No Violations | The well is equipped with an electrically-driven pumping unit. The tank battery is shared with PN# (20295, 20742, & 21038), and identification for all four wells was posted. The tank battery consists of one 210 bbl production tank, two vertical separators, one 50 bbl poly brine tank. The load line to the tanks production valve was secured with a plug. The access road was stable and drivable. |
