0276778445 2013-11-08 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations On site with Kyle Tharp to inspect the drilling pits because the operator is suppose to be solidifying the drilling pits this morning. Our inspection revealed that PEP Drilling is moving the drilling rig off location this morning (moving final loads while we were on site). Our inspection of the drilling pits revealed that a JayHawk water truck pumped most the free fluids (water) from the drilling pits. We met with Mike Burkhart (Enervest) on site and he advised us that Chemtech was bringing in 5 semi truck loads of solidification material to solidify the blow pit and the working pit. Our inspection also revealed that the liners were intact and no visible holes in the liners at this time. Pyramid is going to be the contractor solidifying the drilling pits. We spoke with John (Pyramid) and he advised us that he would like to solidify the drilling pits and then cover them with a pit liner to prevent rain water from coming in contact with the solidified pits. We advised that this would be acceptable and that they need to remove the solidified material as soon as possible. Mike Burkhart and John advised us that the earliest they could start hauling off the solidified material, would be early next week (Monday 11th). We advised them that this was acceptable and we would check the site early next week (Tuesday 12th) to check on the removal of the solidified material.
1383031295 2013-10-28 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations I was on site to check the status of PEP Drilling. My inspection revealed that PEP is drilling the mousehole at this time. The evening tower driller (Jeff) advised that they should spud the well later this evening. My inspection of the drilling pits revealed that the pit liners are intact and the fluid levels are acceptable. My inspection revealed no violations at this time.
1383236989 2013-10-31 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations I was on site to witness the cementing of the 11.75 inch surface casing. I arrived on site at approximately 9:30pm on 10/30/13 and observed that PEP Drilling had just started running the surface casing. My inspection revealed that PEP Drilling had drilled a 14.75 inch hole to a total depth of 866 feet and ran 852 feet of 11.75 inch casing (32# per foot/ inside diameter 11.23 inches) into the wellbore. They installed six bowspring centralizers on the casing (joints 1,4,7,10,13,and 16). Universal cemented the casing with 490 sacks of Type 1 3% CaCl and .25 pound per sack flake. The cement had a density of 15.6 pounds per gallon, a yield of 1.19 cubic feet per sack, and they used 5.20 gallons of mix water per sack. Universal pumped 103.8 barrels of cement slurry, pumped 103 barrels of freshwater displacement, and there was 50 barrels of good cement returns. Universal landed the plug at 1:28 am with 350 psi. They didnt conduct the casing test at this time because they ran the casing open ended; left 20 feet of cement inside the casing (calculated by displacement). My inspection revealed no violations at this time. I departed the site at approximately 2:05am on 10/31/13.
1384266810 2013-11-04 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations On site to check the status of the drilling rig and the drilling pits in conjunction with the Isom water well complaint. My inspection revealed that PEP drilling is drilling a 7 7/8 hole and are at a depth of 4990 feet. I inspected the drilling pits and found the fluid levels acceptable and the liners intact (no holes were observed in the liners at this time). I also noted that there werent any visible marks on the pit liners to indicate a fluid loss in either pit.
1415533524 2013-10-29 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations I was on site to witness the cementing of the 16 inch conductor casing. My inspection revealed that PEP Drilling has drilled a 17 1/2 inch hole to a total depth of 55 feet and ran 38 feet (KB) of 16 inch casing (65 pound per foot / inside diameter 15.25 inches) into the hole. Universal cemented the casing with 35 sacks of Type 1 3% CaCl and .25 pound per sack flake. Universal pumped 7.4 barrels of cement slurry, and 7.4 barrels of displacement, and there were 5 barrels of cement returns to surface. My inspection revealed no violations at this time.
