1177288041 2010-06-02 Production Wells No Violations On site for a follow-up inspection on the crude oil / brine spill that Inspector Roberts responded to. He advised me that OEPA was going to handle the clean-up of the spill. Inspection revealed that clean-up of the spill on the hayfield and the tractor path has not started at this time. I spoke with a service rig operator working on a well behind Mr. Ellysons house and he advised that Mr. Ellyson wasnt home at this time. I asked him if he knew what the OEPA had told Mr. Ellyson about the remedial actions required for the clean-up of the spill and he advised that he wasnt aware of what the OEPA had advised Mr. Ellyson on the spill clean-up. Since the OEPA is handling the spill clean-up on this site , I will just check back periodically to see how the clean-up process is coming along.
1275502209 2010-05-28 Production Wells No Violations I received a call from the Ohio EPA about an oil spill in Columbian Co, Hanover Twp. I arrived on the scene and found the Ohio EPA, Kurt Kollar on the location. The workover rig had swabbed the well down and put the swab fluid into a manure spreader which leaked oil down into the creek. The rig had moved to another location. No oil was around the wellhead. This complaint was in the Ohio EPA(Kurt Collar) jurisdiction. I helped installed some booms and then left. The dirt around the creek area was cleaned up. This complaint is resolved.
