0755993091 | 2016-05-11 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the oily soil under the engine had been removed, the area had been treated with lime and fertilizer, and new gravel was in place. An absorbent pad had been placed under the sight glass. There was a new valve on the sales line and it was no longer leaking. The elbow fitting on the riser at the tank had been replaced and was no longer leaking fluid. The oily soil had been removed from inside of the dike. The push rods had been removed from the location. The identification sign was complete and legible, and I found no leaks at the wellhead or tank battery. This violation is resolved. |
1102613132 | 2016-02-22 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | Regional Supervisor Tom Hill and I were at the site to investigate Complaint #5264. The lease road to the tank battery and well was in fair repair and stable. The well is produced with a natural gas--inch diameter sales line. At the tank battery, there is one (1) 100-bbl production tank. The valves on both the oil and brine pickup lines were secured with plugs. There is oil contamination around the production tank. There is an identification sign (ID) on the production tank, but it needs replaced. There is a dike present and it is in good repair. The state database shows that in 2014 production was reported to be 0 bbl oil, 324 MCF gas and 0 bbl brine, and in 2013 production was reported to be 16 bbl oil, 421 MCF gas and 0 bbl brine. Issues needing addressed at this well to bring it into compliance include: repairing the crankcase at the pumpjack, removing and properly disposing of the gear oil-impacted stone and soil, repairing the gas leak at the sales line coming off the separator, removing and properly disposing the oil-impacted stone and soil from around the 100 bbl production tank, and replacing the ID on the production tank at the tank battery. The operator will be contacted regarding the production status of the well, and the compliance i |

1972022345 | 2016-03-22 | Production Wells | No Violations | I was contacted by Mark Fluharty, pumper for Northwood, to ask if I could meet him at the location in order to inspect the work he has done to bring the well into compliance. On the day of my inspection I found that most of the oily gravel had been removed from under the engine. The engine had been cleaned to reveal the source of the leak. There was a streak of engine oil running down the block that was coming from the sight glass. Mark said that he will replace the gasket. I told Mark to remove more gravel from under the engine and treat the area with lime, peat and fertilizer before filling in with new gravel. The gas leak at the sales line had not been repaired. The oily soil and gravel had been removed from around the 100 barrel tank, but the elbow fitting between the flow line and riser was seeping fluid. I told Mark that the riser must be addressed before filling in the excavated area around the tank. The push rods had been dug out of the soil, but they had not been removed from the location. The identification sign on the tank was complete and legible. |
