0419889096 | 2017-02-03 | Final Restoration | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I met with DOGRM surveyor Tom Smith to record the coordinates of the remaining production equipment. Tom also walked the area with a metal detector and found two different signals within 60 feet of the equipment. Tom recorded those coordinates as well. Mr. and Mrs. Cramer came out to the site with a packet of documents and photos that pertained to the well. They had photos of the well being drilled and they had copies of royalty payments. I told them what I had found with regards to permit 3342 not being drilled, and the fact that there were two Hothem/Dunlevy #2 wells. I called Gregg Mason with NGO and left a message to contact me about the equipment. |

1487695463 | 2017-02-21 | Final Restoration | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I met with Gregg Mason and Scott McEwen of NGO to look at the equipment found at the site. Gregg and Scott both confirmed that the visible equipment consisted of a 2 inch line that would have come from the separator to the 8 inch drip bottle. The 1 inch steel line was used to blow the drip back into a storage tank, and the plastic line was used for house gas. Gregg said that the reason the equipment was not removed when the well was plugged is that the house was still getting gas from the unit. They re-routed their sales line in 2004 and cut gas to the home. Gregg claimed that the equipment was technically the responsibility of the landowner. However, he did agree to remove it. He also said that they would cut, cap and bury the old load line by the lease road, and the 1 inch line on the other side of the stream. Gregg said that they would try to get in this week to start the work. |
1487952344 | 2017-02-24 | Final Restoration | No Violations | I received a phone call on 2/23/17 from NGO pumper Scott McEwen to notify me that they were at the site to remove the remaining equipment, and to cut and cap the remaining lines. On the day of my inspection I found that the house gas drip bottle and associated steel lines had been removed. The yellow plastic house gas line was still on place with the end capped. The disturbed area had been graded out, seeded and covered in straw. The 2 inch load line at the bottom of the hill had been cut off below grade and capped with a steel plug. The disturbed area had been graded out, seeded and covered in straw. The 1 inch steel gas line beside the dry creek bed had also been removed. There were disturbed areas on either side of the creek bed that had been graded out, seeded and covered in straw. Mr. and Mrs. Cramer met me at the site. They said that they were present throughout the remediation work. Mr. Cramer said that he had requested that they leave the plastic gas line in place. He also said that NGO had flushed the 2 inch load line with a water truck prior to cutting it. Finally, Mr. Cramer said that NGO had cut the 1 inch gas line in two places, flushed the oil residue out and pulled the line from under the creek bed. There were no remaining oil and gas production materials, and all of the disturbed areas had been graded, seeded, and covered in straw. This complaint is resolved. |
1737360300 | 2017-02-06 | Administrative Inspection | No Violations | I conducted an inspection of this site on 2/2/17 and found that there was a steel load line and valve at the bottom of the hill at the where a vehicle path started. I found an 8.625 inch drip bottle that extended 2 feet above ground. There were three nipples off of the drip. One connected to an open ball valve, through a regulator, then a closed ball valve and into yellow plastic 1 inch gas line that entered the ground. The second connected to a closed ball valve and into 1.5 inch steel line that entered that ground. The third connected to a check valve, an open ball valve and 2 inch steel flow line that entered the ground. There were no gauges on the drip. There were no other material or debris near the well site. I called Scott McEwan, pumper for NGO, to ask about the production equipment. He said that he knew the site that I was concerned with, and he would go out to look at the equipment. I received a call from Gregg Mason and I explained why I had been called out and what I had found. I told Gregg that we need to determine the status of the equipment and have it removed from the site. |
