1478536906 2016-11-07 Production Wells No Violations I received a phone call from Denny Custer to request my assistance with identifying and determining the status of a well located on a recently purchased parcel of property. I met Mr. Custer at the property at 20104 TR 306 where there was one inhabited dwelling and two detached garages. He showed me where 2 inch plastic line came out of the ground and through a regulator before entering the home. The gas lines ran to a modified wood burning stove that was set up to burn gas. The valve on the line outside of the home was closed and Mr. Custer claimed that it was stuck. I did not try to open the valve, and I advised Mr. Custer not to mess with it until we get more information about the well. The wellhead and storage tank were located uphill behind the home. The well was not equipped with a pumping unit or plunger lift. There were no rods or tubing in the well. The 4.5 inch casing was capped with a swage and bull plug. The 4.5 inch casing was set in a wellhead on top of the surface casing. The surface casing was mostly buried and not visible. One of the nipples on the wellhead was equipped with a closed ball valve. The other nipple connected to 2 inch steel flow line that split to the tank and to a drip bottle into 1 inch steel line. All of the valves at the wellhead were open. The gauge showed 100 pounds. Mr. Custer opened the bleeder valve on the drip bottle, but no gas or fluid blew out. The tank battery consisted of one 140 barrel steel tank inside of an earthen dike. There was no identification posted at the wellhead or tank battery. I found no leaks or spills at the wellhead or tank battery. This well has no reported annual production since 2008. Mr. Custer expressed that his main concern was getting free gas. I called Jeff Gress to ask about the well. He said that he always provided house gas to the property owner, and he stopped swabbing because he could not make any production while providing house gas. He said that he offered to sell the well to the previous o
