The berms of the site and lease road were 95% covered in well established grass. The tank battery and separator were both diked and the dikes were covered in grass. RB Drilling set 1.5 tubing at 3833 inside of 4.5 casing. Formation pumped 56 barrels of salt water to circulate the well. Then they pumped 30 sacks of class A cement and 1 bag of cotton seed hulls to set a 400 plug.

The electric motor was intact, the valves on the tubing and casing were open and the polished rod showed signs of recent use. The gauges showed 100 psi on the tubing and 70 psi on the casing. The tank battery consisted of two 210 barrel tanks, one 100 barrel tank and an earthen dike. There was one separator and a meter inside of a second dike. Identification was posted and I found no leaks or spills.

There was also another dike around a horizontal separator. Correct, legible identification was posted and I found no leaks or spills at the wellhead or tank battery.

At the time of my inspection they were connecting the power swivel to drill out the first plug at a depth of 4371. A blowout preventer was in use and I saw a record of the BOP being tested at 600 psi. They had 500 barrels of salt water on location. A closed loop, steel pit mud system was in use.

They reported that they ran in to the kick plug with a PDC bit when NGO decided to switch over to a tri-cone bit for the kick-off. The kick off point will be at 2245. They intend to drill the curve with the tri-cone bit, at which point they will switch back to the PDC for the horizontal. The permit was posted, there were no leaks or spills and there were no sags or tears in the pit liner.

We found that the electric powered pumping unit was in operation. There were no major leaks around the wellhead. The Baird valves were dripping, but the pumper had absorbent pads under to catch the oil drops. There were no leaks or spills around the production equipment, and correct identification was posted. Appalachian Solvents showed up to treat the well while we were at the location.

They loaded the surface casing with fresh water and pressured up to 305 psi. He reported that the pressure was still holding at 300 psi after 30 minutes.
