0604933488 | 2013-07-15 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the drilling pit was still open. The fluid level was high. I called A. Miller Oil to request that they get some fluid out of the pit as soon as possible. |
0711221404 | 2016-07-22 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the well was still shut in with a swage and valve. There was a new pumping unit and a string of rods staged near the well. The electric and flow line were in place. |
0742150192 | 2016-10-04 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the service rig had been moved to this well site. There were strings of rods and tubing on the ground next to the well. I called James Miller and he said that he will be out within the next three days to start on getting the well equipped for production. |
0910887365 | 2017-10-20 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the well was equipped with an electric powered pumping unit. The motor, drive belts and electric were intact. The flow line was connected at the wellhead and the valve was open. Correct, legible identification was posted on the electric box. The production equipment consisted of two 100 barrel steel tanks in an earthen dike that are shared by the Layman 3 through 13 wells. Correct, legible identification was posted at the tanks for all of the wells on the lease. There were no leaks or spills around the wellhead or tanks. The well site was graded out and covered in vegetation. There were no signs of erosion and there were no materials or debris left behind. The preliminary restoration for this well is complete. |
0975394031 | 2016-11-18 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the well had been equipped with a wellhead, tubing, rods and an electric powered pumping unit. The electric was not connected to the motor, and the flow line was not connected at the wellhead. I tried to call James Miller to get an update on their progress, but he did not answer. |
0982632751 | 2013-05-09 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that Vernon King was drilling at a depth of 630 with a 5 bit. The permit was on location, the pit liner was in good shape and there were no leaks or spills. |
1366724364 | 2013-04-23 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the day of my inspection Vernon King ran 5.5 casing to 450. Formation Cementing broke circulation and pumped 55 sacks of class A cement. The cement was circulated to surface, with 5 barrels of cement returns. The permit was in the doghouse, the pit liner was in good shape and there were no leaks or spills. |
1370443082 | 2013-06-05 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that Vernon King had reached a total depth of 957. He was in the process of rigging down. The pit was still open and there were no sags or tears in the liner. The permit was on location and there were no leaks or spills. |
1397224852 | 2013-07-18 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the drilling pit was solidified and partially closed. The surrounding area has been graded out to the approximate original contour. No violations at this time. |
1414225129 | 2017-04-24 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that identification had been posted on the electric box at the wellhead, and at the common tank battery. The well site still needed final grade and miscellaneous oilfield debris removed. There were no erosion issues at the well site. I called James Miller to suggest that he get the site cleaned up and graded before the field is planted. He said that they will finish all of the wells on this lease once they get the final pumping unit installed. |
1485964174 | 2017-02-01 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the well had been equipped with an electric powered pumping unit. The motor and drive belts were intact, and the electric was connected. The flow lines were connected at the wellhead and the tubing valve was open. This well has been equipped for production. This was one of the final two wells on the Layman lease that Miller Oil was instructed to equip for production. |
1739904794 | 2016-06-13 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the site was rough graded and there was a load of gravel near the well. The site is located in an agricultural crop field. The field has been plowed and planted around the well, and the actual well site was covered with weeds. There were no signs of erosion. The well was equipped with a swage and ball valve. The valve was shut and there were no leaks. There was signs of excavation from laying electric and flow line to the well. I called and left a message with James Miller. I have had previous discussions with Mr. Miller where I emphasized that the four remaining wells on the Layman lease must be equipped and put into production this year. This well was drilled to total depth, and has been shut in since June 2013. |
2025574983 | 2013-05-22 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that Vernon King was not drilling. There were no sags or tears in the pit liner and there were no leaks or spills around the drilling rig. |
2050008565 | 2016-10-17 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that no progress had been made since my last inspection on 10/4/16. The well was still shut in with a swage on the casing. The tubing and rods were still staged on the ground. I called James Miller, who claimed that they had a compressor blow up last week and they had a logger hit a flow line, so they were not able to get out. He said that they would be out this week to start running the tubing. |
