0363467557 | 2013-11-25 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that H&D Drilling had topped off the annulus of the surface casing with sack cement. They were set up to drill the production hole by air/rotary. The permit was on location, there were no sags or tears in the pit liner and there were no leaks or spills. I received a copy of the bond log, the receipt for sack cement and a copy of the 4.5 casing pressure test. |
0740139929 | 2014-08-28 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the drill pits had been closed and all drilling materials had been removed from the site. The location had been graded out and planted with grass. The soil here is very rocky and the grass coverage was sparse. The lower end of the drill site showed some areas of erosion. I contacted Ron Babcock to request that he come up with a different plan for erosion control, as the current seeding program has not been effective on this landscape. |
0893246657 | 2015-05-14 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that there was adequate vegetative cover to control erosion. I did not observe any erosion or wash outs on the well site or along the lease road. This site passes preliminary restoration. |
1079437626 | 2013-11-21 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that H&D Drilling had set 41 of 10.75 conductor casing. They were drilling at a depth of 270 with a 10 bit. The permit was posted, there were no sags or tears in the pit liner and there were no leaks or spills. |
1191041588 | 2013-11-24 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Harold Donaker contacted me to report that the bond log showed the cement top at 70. H&D Drilling was authorized to top off the annulus with sack cement and resume drilling operations. |
1385226104 | 2013-11-23 | Casing String Witnessed | No Violations | On the day of my inspection H&D Drilling had new 7 casing set at 464. Formation pumped gel, cotton seed hulls and cell flake in an attempt to establish circulation. They displaced the gel mixture out of the casing and shut it in for 20 minutes. At that time they went back into pumping more gel and lost circulation material, followed by 165 sacks of class A cement. Circulation was never established. They landed the plug, pressured up to 750 lbs. and held for 5 minutes. Ron Babcock was instructed to have a bond log run on the well to determine where the cement top was before proceeding with further drilling operations. |
1411995180 | 2014-09-24 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I met Ron Babcock at the site to go over the steps he has taken to remediate the preliminary restoration. The lower end of the site had been graded to repair the ruts created by erosion. He put in a small berm to divert runoff and protect the slope from erosion. The area had been seeded and was covered in straw. The other bare spots on the upper side of the site had been roughed up and re-seeded. |
1811617093 | 2014-03-05 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the well was equipped with a pumping unit. The tank battery consisted of three 100 barrel stock tanks and an earthen dike. Proper identification was posted and I found no leaks or spills. The pits were still open. I met with Ron Babcock at the site and granted him an extension on closing the pits due to the weather. The site is very muddy and difficult to get into. The fluid level was not in danger of breeching the walls and there were no sags or tears in the liner. |
1987049940 | 2013-12-04 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that H&D Drilling was finished drilling. The production casing was cemented on 12/2/13. There were no sags or tears in the pit liner and there were no leaks or spills around the rig. |
