1516308657 2018-01-18 Orphan No Violations I inspected this former well location pursuant to a request relative to on-going site development occurring on a previously vacant parcel located adjacent to the Westlake Porter library. According to file documentation, the well was plugged and abandoned under ODNR Idle & Orphan Well Program in 1988. At the time of this inspection, there was a 3-inch diameter, vertical steel vent stack structure. The vent stack was in good condition with a 1/2-inch test port which I utilized to test for the presence of combustible gases with a portable 5-gas meter. There were no detectable gases or odors. The surrounding area was comprised of snow-covered lawn associated with the library.
