There is oil leaking down the side of the tank. |
0483690588 | 2013-09-11 | Production Wells | No Violations | My inspection found the well to be equipped with a plunger lift unit. The well and tank battery are in good repair. The tank battery is surrounded by a chain link fence. The tank battery consists of a 100 BBL production tank, a 100 BBL brine tank, and a mechanical separator. The proper identification is located on the tank battery. The lease road is in stable condition. |
0567746968 | 2012-06-11 | Annular Disposal | No Violations | My inspection today found a plunger lift system well in good repair. No annular disposal facilities identified during inspection. Lease road is stable. Identification sign is posted at the tank battery. The tank battery has two 210 barrel production tanks, one of which has been decommissioned. The tank has rusted out at the seams. There is also a 100 barrel brine tank and a mechincal separator in the battery. The 210 production tank in use, has two rust blisters at the bottom of it. Both blisters are approximately 18 inches long and 10 inches tall. Rust scale has flaked off and the blisters are wet. I called the owner of the company and left a message in regards to the status of the tanks and the needed repairs. Owner returned call, he will have tanks assessed and replaced as needed. |

1021372864 | 2018-10-17 | Production Wells | No Violations | I conducted a compliance notice follow-up inspection for compliance notice 1964155314. At the time of this inspection, the excavated area east of the tank battery dike has been replaced. Seeding and mulching was conducted but no growth of new vegetation was observed. The 100 BBL tank that had previously leaked was still inside the tank battery. The tank had been emptied and cleaned out but still needed removed.
Select Energy Investments still needs to: 1) Remove the 100 BBL tank that had the leak |

1216762693 | 2017-06-26 | Production Wells | No Violations | At the time of this inspection, the well was equipped with a plunger lift assembly and the valves on the wellhead were open. There was a domestic line plumbed off of the 4.5 inch casing with a drip bottle and regulator. Valves on the domestic line were open. Production records for this well were current. The tank battery consisted of one 100 BBL production tank, one 100 BBL brine tank, and a mechanical separator. Valves on the separator were open. The tank battery was diked and fenced. Signage at the tank battery needs to be updated. The lease access was stable. The southeast corner of the tank battery had standing water with an oil sheen on top of the water and was contained within the diked area. Oil absorbant pads were applied to the water. There was a 55 gallon drum within the tank battery adjacent to the oily water and inside of the dike. I contacted Richard Campola, owner/operator from Select Energy Investments about cleaning up the tank battery and removing any impacted soil, the 55 gallon drum, and any residual waste. I also requested he update the signage. Mr. Campola indicated that the company would respond immediately and have the requested items addressed by the end of the current week. 1542652743 | 2018-11-19 | Production Wells | No Violations | On location in response to an complaint of natural gas odor in the area, called into the One Call Number on 11/16/2018. No gas odors were noted at the tank battery and the well. There was a production tank laying on its side, outside of the tank battery. There was an escavator on location. I spoke to the owner of the well Richard Compola, he stated had the tank steam cleaned and removed from the battery on 11/15/2018. The tank is schedualed to be repaired and flipped. Once the repairs to the tank are completed the tank will be put back in operation. The production tank is the west tank in the battery. This is the tank that inspector Mullins called out in her inspection report as leaking. |
1546533508 | 2019-01-03 | Production Wells | No Violations | I conducted a compliance notice follow-up inspection for compliance notice 1964155314. 1964155314 | 2018-10-02 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | I received a call from well Richard Campola, owner of Select Energy Investments, Inc. Mr. Campola stated that there had been an approximate 20 BBL release of brine into the diked tank battery from a production tank, and some of the brine had leached out along the east side of the battery. Mr. Campola also stated that the one of the 100 BBL tanks had a rotted out base and was responsible for the release. The tank has been emptied and isolated from the other production equipment. At the time of my inspection, I observed a brine scald that was located east of the diked tank battery and measured 21 X 24 feet. The scalded area had some standing water in tire ruts with residual oil on top of the water. I conducted a high range Quantab test on the standing water and the chloride reading was 3944 ppm. The tank battery had was comprised of two 100 BBL tanks and a mechanical separator. The base of the 100 BBL tank near the tank valve was rotted and staining was present. The tank was presently empty of fluid. The diked tank battery was fenced and had standing water in it. I conducted a high range Quantab test of the standing water and chlorides measured 541 ppm. In speaking with Mr. Campola, he stated that the standing water in the dike would be removed. The 100 BBL tank that has been emptied would be removed from the site after steam cleaning it out. The impacted soil on the east side of the tank battery was going to be removed and disposed of. New, clean soil was to replace the impacted soil. While on location, I also spoke with the landowner, Joshua Webb regarding the cleanup that will be conducted by Select Energy Investments. |
