0007277767 | 2017-08-23 | Production Wells | No Violations | At 11:57 I received a call from Red Hill Development Owner Chris Kimble stating that his well tender found the tank on the 34059231110000 Henry #2 had been struck by lightning sometime yesterday during the afternoon storms. Upon arrival at 12:10 I met with Red Hill Development Well Tender Mike Metzger revealing the well was shut-in and I then inspected the tank. The 140 barrel tank had been struck by lightning and opened at the top. Approximately 1 gallon of oil was found inside the dike by the base of the tank. A 25 foot semi-circle south of the tank was lightly misted with oil. Direction was given to remove the fluid inside the tank, the small amount oil inside the dike and remediate outside the dike. Red Hill Development Spill Trailer was on the way to remediate with Bio-sorb along with a vacuum truck to remove the 4 feet of fluid from inside the tank. Upon completion the tank will be removed along with further remediation of the dike and replacement of the tank. |
0228445555 | 2015-06-23 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection following up a pre-site inspection of the proposed Henry Lnd Gr which is adjacent to existing well, I witnessed that the production equipment included a 140bbl tank, a horizontal separator, a drip, domestic gas service, a 2 inch sales meter with a 1 inch orifice and a chart recorder all within an earthen dike. The well was equipped with 8.625 inch casing, 4.5 inch casing, 2 inch tubing, a plunger lift system with valves in the open position on the tubing and 1 of 2 open on the casing supplying the motor valve. Gauges present reading 360psi on the tubing and 420psi on the casing. Identification was present and production records were current. |
