0299551000 | 2016-07-07 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection accompanied by ODNR Inspector Scott Scheiner inspection, I witnessed the production equipment included a 100bbl tank, a horizontal separator, a drip, a logically controlled motor valve, 2 inch sales meter with a 1 inch orifice and chart recorder. The burner tube had a drip resulting in a 1 feet by 1 feet area of contamination with field tests reading >6215ppm chlorides and a pH of 6. The well was equipped with 8.625 inch casing; 4.5 inch casing, 2.375 inch tubing, and a plunger lift system with valves open on the tubing and 1 of 2 open on the casing. Gauges present showed 545psi on the tubing and 640psi on the casing. Well identification was present and the production records were current. Further inspection revealed a 5 feet by 8 feet area of stressed vegetation on the eastside outside the dike with field tests revealing a pH of 6 and chloride levels of 2284ppm. I placed call to Baker Well Service and spoke with Rock Baker who stated that they will be down tomorrow to remediate the contamination and repair the tank. |
