| 1111620122 | 2014-04-22 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | At 5:13 PM I received a call from Chris Anderson, a consultant for Gulfport Energy. Mr. Anderson stated that a fire had occurred at the well site at 2:30 PM and that the Quaker City Fire Dept. was dispatched to put it out. I drove to the well site to photograph the damage and asses the impact. My inspection found the fire originated in a Sandex tank unit. The heat from the fire caused the containment around the tank to catch on fire. There were no indications that any fluids leaked from the tank. ECM was on site removing the remaining fluid from the Sandex tank. I instructed the company representative to remove all stone with melted plastic on it and repair the containment. I recommended that the company review their tank grounding protocols. |
