0798611880 2011-09-22 Production Wells Violations Noted A field inspection conducted with inspector Jon Scott revealed that gas was being vented from the well head. Inspector Scotts gas meter showed the amount of gas as over range. There was also fluid in the tank battery dike. Fluid in the dike was tested with high range Quantabs. It registered a 2.8 which means that there are 418 ppm Cl- (mg/L). EPA accepted level of Cl- is 250 ppm (mg/L). Venting of gas must be discontinued, or gas must be flared. Fluid must be removed from dike, and contaminated soils must also be removed. Mr. Bill Mitten was called on 9/27/11 at 4:25 PM and a message was left on his voicemail that outlined the issues at this well.

There was a small area of about 3 foot circle around the well contaminated with oily mess. There was also an oily mess inside the tank dike. Both messes will need cleaned up and legible ID will need to be posted. I spoke to inspector Kip Thompson about it and he said he will contact the company.
