The mast of the drilling rig that is also used to pump the well has fell over bending the rods and breaking the tubing out of the well head. The plastic lines from the well head are also broken. There is no identification posted at the well site and no storage tank. |

The inspection revealed that the well was not capable of production as a wooden rig has collapsed on the well. The well was equipped with rods and tubing. The polish rod was bent at a 90 degree angle due to the rig collapsing. The well was not leaking any fluids and did not appear to be leaking any gas during the inspection. According to RBDMS research production has never been reported on this well. A compliance notice was issued to the well owner Mr. Jack Swick in 2003 and 2005 to plug the well. Mr. Swick is deceased and the compliance notice has not been resolved. It appeared that the drilling pit used to drill the well was still open. Four 55 gallon drums were observed near the well as well as a drill stem, tubing, and other various debris. Mr. Swicks widow Mrs. Carol Swick as well as son Mike Swick was home during the inspection. Mrs. Swick was made aware of the Orphan Program and was interested in referring the well to the program. During the inspection Mrs. Swicks information was taken to enter this inspection as a complaint. |
