0177779478 | 2011-03-02 | Field Inspected, Well Not Found | No Violations | An inspection of this well was requested by Central Office. The wellbore was not located within 5 of the current coordinates. A brush pile approx 50 x 50 x 10 existed nearby and well may potentially be covered at this time. Behind this pile and located along the edge of wooded line, plastic and steel cable were observed. The current landowner will be researched to discuss well location and status. |
1301576777 | 2011-03-25 | Production Wells | No Violations | An inspection of this well was requested by Central Office. Accompanied by Mr. John Harris, the current landowner and son of Mr. Paul (Decd) and Mrs. Betty Harris. During the inspection, it was noted that the well consisted of only 8 casing located below grade approximately 6 with no wellhead, swage or valve(s). At time of the inspection, the fluid level inside this casing was at the top. Verified no obstruction or plugging material inside the casing to approximately 5. A lead weight and measuring tape were not available at this time. At time of the inspection, the well was not gassing and no observed oil at the surface. The immediate well site contained an old drilling pit located below the well site (edge of hillside/lower elevation), sections of steel cable, along with plastic and steel lines located at the edge of wood line. Records within RBDMS indicate that the well was never fracked with zero reported production since, the well had been drilled in 1981. No identification observed at the well location. A new GPS reading was obtained for the well location. Note: The 100 bbl tank and separator to the NE of the location are owned and utilized for landowner well, Permit No. 3782. An interview conducted with Mr. Harris, revealed that he dug the soup hole (Drill Pit) for the company, but thought that they opted not to drill the well. Mr. Harris further stated that the well has never been equipped with a pumping unit. |
1306253076 | 2011-04-08 | Production Wells | No Violations | An inspection revealed that this well may have been plugged and abandoned. A string with a weight was placed in the wellbore to gauge the depth of this well. An obstruction was hit at 8. A large stick was then placed in the wellbore to determine diameter, and hardness (concrete or fireclay) of material. The obstruction felt solid and resembled fireclay. Fluid inside the wellbore measured 1 6 to the surface. Grass cuttings and leaves were observed on surface. Verified sheen on surface of water was iron scales and not oil. The gas detector utilized for this inspection revealed no LEL. Management will be notified of inspection results. |
