It appears that a recent large rainfall event has allowed oil/water to breach pit bank. The amount of oil outside of the dike would approximately be less than a gallon. The pit water was field tested with a Quantab titrator. The field test revealed a 5.0 reading which equals approximately 224 PPM Chlorides. This is below EPA Secondary Drinking Water standards of 250 PPM Chlorides. The pit was properly lined during inspection. Photos were taken of pit. The well owner will be notified and advised to prevent fluids from escaping pit. The inspection also revealed cement has dropped on the backside of the 5.5 further than the three feet mentioned in the previous inspection. Cement will need to be added and filled to surface.
