0987338635 | 2013-06-27 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | Received a call from Mr. John Kurjan, a plumber working on a building in Elyria. Stated he had discovered what appeared to be a plugged well about 6 feet beneath the building. My investigation revealed there had been a well plugged and abandoned at the site in 1967. I examined the site, the well is in a vault and capped per ODNR standards. I further learned that this building has been several fast food restraunts over the past 20 years. I advised Mr. Kurjan to go on with his work as they will not be doing anything around the well. The well is vaulted and at least 6 feet beneath the floor of the building. |
