1418059159	2014-12-08	Production Wells	No Violations	On 12/6/2014, I received a call from the Ohio EPA Columbus Office stating that they had received a call from the resident at 2145 Redwood Place, Canfield Ohio. They said that they had oil in there sump pump inside their house. I called the owner of the well Nils Johnson and explained to him the message I got from the EPA. He said that he would meet me there. When I arrived at the above address, Nils was there along with Bob Wintzel the well tender. When we went inside the landowner said that he had to replace the sump bump and that was when they noticed an oily substance in the sump, it did not appear to be crude oil from the well. The oil was a mineral oil, light color, no crude oil smell. There was field samples taken for field review and no crude oil was noticed. Oil may have come from the defective sump pump that was replaced. On 12/8/2014, I walked the wellhead location and there was no oil on the ground in the area. The well is equipped with 1.5 tubing. The tank battery is some distance from this address, it is equipped with one 50 barrel tank and one horizontal separator.
