| 1122171559 | 2015-11-04 | Production Wells | No Violations | I was on location to assist Mahoning County Inspector John Fleming in collecting a water sample from a small irrigation pond at this location. A valve on the 210 barrel tank had leaked salt water into the containment dike and had leached out the west side of the dike away from the pond. A sampling cup was rigged up to a telescoping pole and we were able to pull a water sample from the deeper part of the pond. Analysis of the sample with a low-range Quantab indicated that the pond was not impacted by chlorides from the leaked brine. Inspector Fleming is going to oversee the clean-up and remediation of the impacted area. Refer to his inspection report for any details. |
