2006-11-15 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Cementing surface casing. Pits and liners are intact.
2012-02-23 | Production Wells | No Violations | I conducted a status check on this site and found that the well is equipped with a pumping unit and connects to a tank battery that consists of one 210 barrel stock tank, one 50 barrel brine storage tank, one separator, and an earthen dike. Proper identification was posted and I found no leaks or spills at the well head or tank battery. No violations at this time.
2007-05-21 | Production Wells | No Violations | I was pulled over by the landowner on the Cosma 2, Mr. Nick Cosma. He said that the operators had water leaking on his farm ground. I went with him to check the location out. He said he thought it was from the pit or well. He was very mad. He wanted me to check the water. I told him I would call another inspector to find out how to check for brine. He told me to take off my sunglasses that he wanted to look me in the eye. Which I did. He said all you people are alike, dont do anything. He was so mad that he left. I told him I would get a water sample and get back to him. I called Dave Claus to see how to get brine sample. I took two samples with the Quantab, one by the waters edge which was 100ppm and the other in the middle of the water. I stirred up the water to make sure if there was brine that it would mix up. The Quantab test was 146ppm. You can drink water up to 250ppm. I called Rick Batta from North American(330-262-5865) and told him about the water pool in the field. He said that he would have his pumper take a look at it. He would fix it if it was there problem. He stated that he did things by the book with Mr. Cosma. He later called back and said that the water was to far away from the well to be there problem. (The water pool in question is 120 feet to the NNW of the well. The pool size is 22 feet long and 15 feet wide at the widest point. About 3 inches deep in the middle. The drilling pits are straight east of the well). The pumper told him that there was a valley there before the well was drilled. Rick also stated the Mr. Cosma had made a death threats on him and his family. He called the police and Rick had to get Mr. Cosmas son to calm the situation down. After I had drawn the samples I headed to Mr. Cosmas house. He was out on the front porch. I told him what my findings where. He asked what 100ppm and 146ppm where. I told him that you could drink water over 250ppm. That there was no brine in the water. Also so no sig
2006-11-20 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Advent Drilling is rigging down and will move to the Miller # 3 on 11-21-2006. I verified with the daylight crew that they did not pump pit water into the creek on Friday 11-17-2006. They were pumping water from the creek up to the 300 bbl water tank.
2007-05-30 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | The drilling pits were filled in. Land was in farm ground. Corn was coming up. No erosion was visible. No drilling equipment on location. No debris was on location. This well and tank battery have PASSED the preliminary restoration.
2007-04-23 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | The drilling pits have not been filled in. They are starting to put tank battery in and install the pumping unit. The pumping unit has no electricity hookup yet. Called North American Petroleum and left a message about the drilling pits(330-262-5865). Rick Batta ( North America Pet) called and told me he has the equipment to close the pits. Trying to find someone to take the water. I will check pits next week. This does not pass preliminary restoration.
2007-05-07 | Production Wells | No Violations | Drilling pits are closed. Debris is gone. Drilling equipment is gone. Still needs some clean up around wellhead. Land is farm ground. This well has not past preliminary restoration yet.
2007-07-11 | Production Wells | No Violations | I had a message on my phone from Mr. Nick Cosmos about the water standing on the north side of the well. I called Jay Cheslock about this. Dave Claus stated that it was muddy but the location didnt go over 50 feet to the north. He saw no evidence of a tile being torn up. Jay stated that this is out of our hands when the land owner said that North American tore the tile up and Rick Batta from North American says that they didnt do it. It is a he said, she said. The complaint is out of the states hands. Case closed.
