The reservoir pressure at the start of the job was 1109 psi. 500 gallons of 15% hydrochloric acid was pumped ahead of the slurry. The slurry consisted of cross linked fresh water gel and API 20/40 sand. Nitrogen gas was pumped with the slurry at 20% of volume. 59,982 cubic feet of nitrogen were pumped. At the end of the job, a T fitting on the pump lines failed resulting in the discharge of 1 barrel of freshwater gel and sand slurry. The job was shut down. Spilled fluid was cleaned up with absorbent material. Columbia is going to remove topsoil and vegetation from the spill area. Whan Incorporated is bringing a roll off dumpster to the location. Terry VanSickle of Columbia Gas on site. Mac Oil and Workover Solutions on site. Norburt Lowder of the Division also arrived on location following the spill.
